Hockey Classes
The Aerodrome Hockey Academy’s Hockey Classes are designed to teach the fundamentals
of hockey skills beginning with the basics of skating building all the way up to
game skills such as stickhandling, passing, and shooting. The following is a description
of what each level teaches. Skate rental is included. All participants receive a
10% discount in the pro shop.

The curriculum for the Hockey 1 program is designed to teach basic skating skills.
Goals of this program are to teach good body position and body control, while introducing
the concept of edges. Classes are 30 minutes in length and are held on Thursdays
& Saturdays.

This program will deal with the concepts of skating, stickhandling, passing, and
shooting. Full equipment is required. Classes are held on Sundays @ 5:10pm and are
45 minutes in length.

This program will focus on movement, angles, agility, save selection and conditioning.
The class is offered on Sundays @ 5:10pm and runs for 45 minutes once per week.
(We do have equipment on a first come first serve basis)

Mighty Mites

This is for the player 7 and under and is offered on Sundays @ 12:00pm. Various
skills are taught through games and different drills set by the Hockey Academy and
USA Hockey Mite Initiation Program.
